A beach party like no other, Airnorth Cable Beach Polo is pleased to announce a line-up of food, music and fashion as part of the three-day festival to take place in Broome, 25 to 27 May 2018.
Saturday night’s Dinner Under The Stars will feature Executive Chef Jack Stein from the UK who will be serving a special menu created from the finest Kimberley produce. This year’s culinary creations will be accompanied by new champagne partner, Perrier-Jouët with the rare and elegant vintage Belle Époque offered as a welcome beverage for guests at the dinner.
Earlier that day at the Airnorth Cable Beach Polo tournament, acclaimed country music singer-songwriter Chelsea Basham will entertain spectators in the VIP Marquee, with an arena performance on Sunday for everyone to enjoy. Considered among Australia’s hottest new artists, Chelsea was announced Female Artist of the Year at the 2017 CMC Music Awards, and has received a Golden Guitar and APRA Music Award.
The two-day polo tournament will culminate on Sunday 27th May when the glamour continues with Kimberley Girl models parading unique and rare fashions designed with Nagula Jarndu textiles. Nagula Jarndu are famous for the hand-printed designs by the traditional Yawuru women of Broome.
The entire weekend will feature DJ sensation Daimon Downey whose upbeat sounds have become synonymous with the Cable Beach Polo festival.
“In celebration of the occasion, the second series of WA-produced television show ‘Born to Cook – Jack Stein Down Under’ by MAGO Films is coming to Broome, where Jack will film his quest to source locally produced seafood, meat and vegetables for the ‘Dinner Under The Stars’. The opportunity will showcase the region internationally as it broadcasts in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Jack Stein believes that Western Australia is one of the best places in the world for the quality of its food produce, and is looking forward to having a Kimberley experience, having already produced a series in the state’s southern region.

“The event will be the highlight of my new television series being shot in the North West and I can’t wait to discover all the great produce that I’ll find up there.
“I’m also very proud to be cooking alongside one of my oldest chef friends who worked with me in Cornwall, Dan Gedge, who’s now head chef at Leeuwin Estate.”
